Your little sister was born May 26th 2009. She was born at 36 weeks 3 days. After three days old she was brought to the NICU due to respitory issues and being jaundice. The doctors thought it would be best to perform numerous test on her due to our family history. Everything looked normal except a MRI which showed some milder issues. They thought it would be best to wait and perform another MRI in three months. The MRI showed that of issues due to lack of oxygen or Mitochondrial disorder. The past few months have been busy!!! She has had feeding issues and due to asperating she had phemonia and was brought to the ER where we spent one night in the hospital and was put on anitbotics. She was not allowed to eat any food by mouth and a feeding tube was placed down her nose. She had to wait three weeks for a swallow study which proved she was asperating her food. A G-Tube was placed in her belly September 1st. The other issue is respitory still. She came home on oxygen and after a couple months only requires oxygen at night due to sudden dips in her rate. We are hoping that she grows out of this along with her feeding issues.
She has such a strong personality!! She lets you know what she whats and when she wants it. She isn't into cuddling like her sister was that is for sure!!But she sure looks just like Jadyn!! She brings so much love back into our broken home. We just pray she will continue to grow and become big and healthy!! Little Havyn was a gift from Jadyn!!!
I have not updated your site in such a long time!!! As I'm sure you know your little sister is a lot like you! She is looking more like you everyday!! She is not as laid back though!!haha!!! But she is a fighter just like you! She hasn't been through all that you did, Thank God!! She has had some issues. She has low tone, seizures, CVI and a G-Tube. We are working on trying to get her to be able to eat by mouth again. We had to stop due to the seizures and her not protecting her airway. We stopped all medications and it has made a difference in the amount of seizures per day! We won't get into why we believe she is having the seizures!!!!!!
We have had a very busy summer!! We have been getting out everyday and going shopping or going to Grandma's new camp and going swimming. She just loves the water, like you did!!
We miss you SO much Jadyn!! It breaks my heart everyday that you are not here with us! I wish nothing more than to have you here and to see the two of healthy and playing together, or fighting like sister do!!!
Thank you for keeping such a good eye on your sister! I know you are here protecting and watching over her!!XOXO....
